Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using the TaskLeaders website or any services provided through it. By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

1. Who We Are

TaskLeaders Network Inc. ("TaskLeaders," "we," "us," or "our") is a referral and lead-connection service that connects property managers, realtors, and other clients ("Clients") with independent local tradespeople and service professionals ("Service Providers") across Canada. Service Providers perform services on their own behalf and are not employees or agents of TaskLeaders Network Inc.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By using the Platform — including our website, services coordinated through it, or our WhatsApp Business channels — you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance. If you are using the Platform on behalf of a company or organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

3. Nature of the Platform

TaskLeaders is a referral and matching platform. We are not a contractor, employer, or party to any agreement between Clients and Service Providers. We do not perform services ourselves. All services are performed by independent Service Providers who have been reviewed and accepted into our network.

TaskLeaders facilitates matching, communication, and tracking. All contracts for services are made directly between Clients and Service Providers. TaskLeaders does not guarantee the outcome, quality, or suitability of any service, price, conduct, scope, or schedule made directly between those parties.

Use of the Platform is free for Clients seeking services. TaskLeaders does not charge Clients a fee to submit service requests or connect with Service Providers.

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use the Platform. TaskLeaders reserves the right to refuse service to anyone who provides false or misleading information.

5. User Accounts and Registration

Certain features of the Platform require you to submit an application or contact form. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information, and to notify us of any changes. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account.

6. Concierge Program

6.1 Program Description

The Concierge Program connects licensed real estate professionals and property managers with vetted Service Providers via WhatsApp.

The program is currently available at no charge, until further notice, to licensed realtors and property managers operating in our service area. For all other users, the program may be available for a fee as published on the Platform from time to time (currently valued at $199/year).

6.2 How It Works

Clients submit a service request. TaskLeaders matches qualified Service Providers and facilitates the connection. Participation in the program is subject to eligibility review and may be revoked at our discretion.

6.3 No Guarantee of Match

While we make reasonable efforts to fulfill every request with a qualified, available Service Provider within an appropriate timeframe, we do not guarantee a match will always be possible.

7. Service Providers

7.1 Independent Contractors

All Service Providers are independent contractors. TaskLeaders does not employ, supervise, or control Service Providers. Clients engage Service Providers directly for all services.

7.2 TaskLeader Guidelines

Service Providers accepted into the network are subject to a separate TaskLeader Guidelines agreement governing their participation on the Platform.

7.3 No Endorsement

Listing a Service Provider on the Platform does not constitute an endorsement, certification, or guarantee by TaskLeaders of that Service Provider's qualifications, licensing, insurance coverage, or suitability for any particular job. Clients are encouraged to conduct their own due diligence before engaging any Service Provider.

8. Payments

Payments on the Platform are processed through Stripe. TaskLeaders does not store credit card numbers or sensitive payment information. By using the Platform, you agree to Stripe's terms of service. Applicable taxes, including Canadian Goods and Services Tax (GST), will be applied to any fees charged through the Platform and itemized on all receipts and invoices.

9. Third-Party Messaging Services

TaskLeaders uses WhatsApp Business API, facilitated through Twilio, Inc., to coordinate service requests, lead assignments, and post-job follow-ups. By using the Platform, you acknowledge that:

Meta Platforms, Inc. may process and store messages transmitted via WhatsApp according to its own Privacy Policy
Twilio, Inc. processes communications on our behalf as a service provider
Supabase, Inc. stores platform data on our behalf as a third-party data processor
Standard carrier messaging rates may apply

TaskLeaders may use automated systems, including AI-assisted messaging, within TaskLeaders job threads to facilitate coordination, reminders, and confirmations. By participating in a TaskLeaders job thread, you acknowledge and consent to the presence of automated participants.

You can opt out of non-essential marketing communications at any time by contacting us at info@task-leaders.com. Operational messages related to active service requests are considered essential and cannot be opted out of while using the Platform.

10. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use the Platform to:

Engage in fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading conduct
Attempt to circumvent the lead assignment or payment system
Contact Clients or Service Providers outside the Platform to avoid fees
Harass, threaten, or intimidate any user
Violate any applicable local, provincial, or federal law
Submit false or fabricated service requests
Reproduce, distribute, or commercialize any part of the Platform without written consent

11. Intellectual Property

All content on the Platform, including text, logos, graphics, and software, is the property of TaskLeaders Network Inc. or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TASKLEADERS DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE PLATFORM WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS. WE DO NOT WARRANT THE ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, OR USEFULNESS OF ANY INFORMATION ON THE PLATFORM.

13. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, TASKLEADERS NETWORK INC. SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM OR SERVICES ARRANGED THROUGH IT, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO PROPERTY DAMAGE, PERSONAL INJURY, LOSS OF DATA, OR LOSS OF REVENUE.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms shall not exceed the amount paid by you to TaskLeaders in the three (3) months preceding the claim.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless TaskLeaders Network Inc., its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Platform; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third-party rights; or (d) any services performed or arranged through the Platform.

15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of British Columbia, and you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of those courts.

16. Termination

TaskLeaders reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
